Here we are with another great Men’s Fitness Photoshoot this year! He wanted to come in and celebrate his good health and fitness and do it in a way that told a bit of his life’s story. We clicked right away and it was easy to understand the vision he had for his photoshoot. First, we started out with some strong and dramatic men’s fitness photos with a dark background and studio lighting. This is a popular look – and for good reason! It’s dramatic, shows off the muscles beautifully.
Yes to all the smiles, ALWAYS! Outfits were simple… jeans, no shirt. Sometimes we added some fitness equipment. Keep it simple! Like I always say, the shoot isn’t a clothing ad, it’s a photoshoot about YOU.
He is a proud Marine veteran so we decided to do the photoshoot on November 10 (the 248th birthday of the United States Marine Corp) and he brought some of his flak jacket and a “Marines” baseball shirt to wear during his photoshoot.
Since his Men’s Fitness Photoshoot was celebrating different stages of his life we finished his photoshoot with an outfit that spoke of his love of motorcycles and being a motorcycle racing instructor. AGAIN WITH THE SMILE!
I always suggest you bring something other than just fitness clothing when doing a men’s fitness photoshoot. If the images are for a fitness professional then you want your clients to see a bit more than just ‘fitness you’. If the photoshoot is for personal reasons, like this was, then it’s great to capture others sides of you other than just fitness.
